Champion Battery Pack Upgrade

This is a Champion 24 Volt Battery Pack. It comes with 4 Gel Cell batteries (some early ones had 4 12 volt in a series/parallel circuit but most were 4 6 volt Gel Cell wired in series). Either way those gel batteries are very expensive. Last time I had to buy, it was hard to find one and it was well over $200. That was for one 6 volt battery. Scared me into thinking of a better way to get to the same place. I modified a battery pack to hold wet cell deep cycle batteries, which you can buy about anywhere and wired it to make 24 volts. Then there was the problem of not being able to access the batteries for servicing them. So I turned the battery pack around 180 degrees and made a cover for the open side. Works quite well, as you can see in the pictures. So if anyone wants tips on how to do this, please call 503-781-0902. Or if anyone wants me to modify one, I can.
